Juutua's Nature and Culture Trail
Why locals love it
The Juutua's Nature and Culture Trail along the River Juutuanjoki tell stories of Juutua's colorful past in its info boards. The material has been collected through interviews with locals. The Juutua Path is the first and so far the only nature path where the texts are also in Inari Sámi.
Why you should visit it
The Trail starts from Saarikoskentie on the southern shore of Juutua, about one kilometer from Siida. The starting point of the trail is to the left of Saarikoskentie, just before the RKTL Fish Farm. After the signposting of the Inari Fish Farm, you drive about 600 meters and reach a small square from where the trail continues.
Special tip
The path section from Saarikoski to Jäniskoski is illuminated and kept open in the winter in the snow.
