The Sámi Parliament is located in Inari. Sámi Parliament is to manage the issues concerning the Sámi language and culture, and the Sámi position as an indigenous people. The Sámi Parliament can make initiatives, proposals, and statements to the authorities on the issues related to its assignments.
Why you should visit it
In Northern Lapland sub-region is also apart of Samiland, making Inari a regional ministration canter of Sámi region, language and culture, three different Sámi languages are officially used side by side with Finnish language. Almost one third of the Northern Lapland sub-region citizens are Sámi.
