Waterfall Bassecohkajohka is an estimated four-meters heigh stepped fall. The fall flows in a small river called Bassecohkajohka near Karigasniemi in Utsjoki. The waterfall is located downstream at the point where the river crosses Karigasniementie before descending into nearby Lake Basijavri.
Why you should visit it
The Waterfall Bassecohkajohka might not be particularly high and water volume is not perfectly balanced, but its located in a "secret place" and peaceful place near the road. Still it is an interesting excursion destination. The walk from the road to the waterfall is not particularly long, the terrain is not easiest to reach.
