At the center of this charming garden, which follows the Italian Baroque style of its neighbouring Residence, is an octagonal pavilion. Blooming roses greet the visitors in the summer with several fountains around the garden. Although it doesn’t come with infinite grass field as the English Garden, there are quite a few benches to relax.
Why you should visit it
Lots of tourist want to see a beautifully manicured garden and head to the English Garden...and that's not what they get there. Be smarter and visit the Hofgarten, a nice tranquil spot just off of Odeonsplatz. It is also a good starting point if you are on the way to the English Garden.

Grab a blanket and have a picnic on the grass right next to the Residence.
