Why locals love it?

Hacı Bekir has been producing mouth-watering sweets and pastes since 1777. It has been run by the same family for five generations, making it a trusted and much-loved local institution.

Why you should visit it

This shop has a charming old-world atmosphere. The original décor has been preserved, and they still use the same jars and equipment. You’ll find a wide range of “lokum” (Turkish delight).

Special tip

My favourite is the double pistachio Turkish delight.

This is the oldest "lokum" shop in the world. They basically invented the Turkish Delight.
