Heirloom Istanbul is a hotel and café-market set in a recently renovated 115-year-old apartment building. Located just five minutes’ walk from Taksim Square, it manages to maintain a tranquil atmosphere even though it’s very central. The café-market is located on the ground floor of the building.

Why you should visit it
These guys support local farmers and small producers. They serve pastries, panini, salads and olives, though the most interesting thing on their menu is their special syphon coffee. You have to try it. They also sell handmade olive oil and soaps, handwoven shawls and dishes made from discarded olive wood.
