Lattuna's Lanssi

Why locals love it

Lattuna's Lanssi is a monument to the Lumberjack tradition in Eastern Lapland. The statue is dedicated to Hugo Sandberg, who was a pioneer and machiner of the lumberjacking. Thanks to Sandberg, a locomotive was transported to Lapland. Lattuna's lanssi is located along the Kemijoki River, where the trunks were transported along the trail.
