Kittilä's Wooden Church

Why locals love it

The wooden church in Kittilä was build between 1829 -1831. The church was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel. The churhes Baroque pulpit from 1687 was donated by Laurila of Keminmaa. The Altar painting was also donated by the Governor of the Province of Oulu in 1831, the painting was painted by Johan Gustaf Hedman.
