Why locals love it
There are two ways to get to Awaji Island. Take a bus and go across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge (which has no pedestrian). Or take the Jenova Line ferry from Akashi port. It takes 9 minutes easy walk from JR Akashi station to the port. From the port ferry takes you to the Awaji Island in 13 minutes.
Why you should visit it
It’s a quick ferry ride with a magnificent Bridge view. After arriving on the Island, rent a bike and enjoy the scenery and local seafoods restaurants.
