Why locals love it
Kumpula's Smokehouse was established by Kauko Kumpula in 1993 as a side business to agriculture. Smokehouse was built in the stone barn of the 1950s, where the company still operates today. At the start the smokehouse produced cold and warm smoke products and cut meat.
Why you should visit it
Later, the product range has also been expanded to include canned food, sausages and other meat products as well slaughter and cutting services. In 2003, as demand increased, the wage plant became the main occupation. In January 2014, Juho Kumpula took over the responsibility of the business.
