Why locals love it
The Ylläs Gondola lift is a cable car that takes you to the top of Ylläs for 2 kilometers. The run to the top is up to 719 meters and takes about 7 minutes. During the summer, the Gondola transports hikers and downhill cyclists to the mountain landscape daily from Midsummer until the end of September.
Why you should visit it
Use of the gondola is included in all lift tickets. You can also buy a mere sightseeing tour of the Gondola, where you can get up, admire the scenery, stop at a café at the top and continue on the gondola ride back down. Please allow enough time for a scenic drive, as the last ride from the top down will take place 15 minutes before closing time.
Special tip
The gondola lift is wheelchair accessible and has a stroller. Some of the gondola lift booths are also dog friendly.
