You don't find many Soviet relics in modern Finland and definitely not on a quiet, mundane residential street! The Lenin in the bust looks wistful and melancholic and the old-fashioned wooden houses surrounding it have been preserved from the times of Lenin's visit.
There is another peculiar sculpture in front of Lenin's bust called Lenin's Missing Arm. From the right angle these two sculptures merge. There are statues of Lenin in Turku, Tampere and Kotka only and in Turku and Kotka they are outdoors. It's one of the few reminders of the Russian / Soviet connections in past times.
Walk onwards for another 5 min and you will find a green oasis: Redutti Herb Garden.
