The history of this place began almost a century ago - in 1916. In March 2012, however, the cinema's owners announced shutting down due to rent raise, and voices of protest from both inside and outside the country started to pour in. In the end, the cinema survived at cost of losing one of the rooms, which made the citizens cherish it even more.

Movies shown here vary from mainstream to niche and the cinema hosts various film festivals and other cultural events. Each room has a different decor, unlike all the multiplexes we're so used to. Every summer and winter (on chosen weeks) you can buy tickets for as little as 5-6 zloty [PLN] and watch the best movies chosen by the audience itself.
