Description
Your guide will meet you at our office, which is located at 8 Plac Szczepanski. It’s just a 2-minute walk from the Main Market Square. From there, you’ll walk through Planty Park to the former residence of Oskar Schindler on Straszewskiego St.
You’ll then walk to Poselska St., depicted in one of the tragic scenes in the film, and continue to Kazimierz, Krakow’s Jewish quarter. You’ll see the former ghetto on Szeroka St. as well as several more streets that appeared in the film: Ciemna, Jakuba, Jozefa, Skawinska and Krakowska.
Next, you’ll walk to the other side of the Vistula River to the district of Podgorze. You’ll see the historical World War II ghetto, which was established in March 1941. You’ll also see the Ghetto Heroes Square, more streets depicted in the film and, most importantly, the remaining part of the original ghetto wall.
Afterwards, you’ll visit Oscar Schindler's Enamel Factory, which also featured in the film.
