Really enjoyed this. We chose the Vodka tour as we have a mild interest in Vodka enough to warrant the tour. We were lucky enough to meet Ania who we can't thank enough. It was myself and husband and we thought just the two of us on the tour along might make the evening conversation strained however Ania not only spent her time chatting about the various types of Vodka but also went into extensive detail on each meal that accompanied the Vodka and also gave us an insight into Polish life, family and traditions. We got so much out of the tour it acted nicely as a snippet of Poland in general. The evening started in a traditional bar where we were served two shots and food. We then moved onto a really unusual shop / bar whereby there were over 60 types of flavoured Vodka to choose from and we were able to try a few. Favourite being Granny Vodka (cherry) and dare I say it Pepper flavoured. We fell in love with the concept of the store and it helped us appreciate the many types and traditions behind it. Next we went to another traditional bar and was served more food - enough to feel full! All traditional polish dishes. Finally we moved onto a similar concept to a Speakeasy bar that was very 'in fashion' and were treated to a choice of coctails to finish the night off. In total we tried over eight different vodkas and five food types. This for me was a highlight of the trip and is a must for anyone new to Poland wanting to experience the culture. First class service, food and drink throughout!

Description

Learn about Poland’s drinking culture on a 3.5-hour tour of Krakow dedicated to all things vodka. A local guide will take you to the city’s best shot bars and share entertaining anecdotes along the way.

Poland is one of the world’s top vodka producers, and many believe that its citizens have a glass of vodka for breakfast, then one for lunch, and another before going to bed.
