Khareba church locates in the central but, peaceful district of Kutaisi, so it's easy to reach. The style of church is really unusual for Georgian churches. It was built in 19th century in Baroque style. Firstly it was an Orthodox church, but then it was converted into Catholic. In 1989 the church was converted into Orthodox again.

Why you should visit it

Khareba church is one of the rare Baroque style churches that can be founded in Georgia. It was built as a small copy of Baroque church in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. Exterior and interior of the church really different from Georgian traditional architecture. It is near to the central square of Kutaisi.

Special tip

In Orthodox churches women should wear long dresses and headdress and man should wear long trousers.
