Nikortsminda is the cathedral with amazing ornaments and ancient frescoes. It was built in 11th century by the king of united Georgia Bagrat III. In 16th centuriy it was renewed by The king of Imereti Bagrat III. Frescoes dates back to 16th-17th century.

Why you should visit it
Nikortsminda is one of the main sight in Racha. Cathedral is well-known for it's frescoes and ornaments. All details used in exterior are different. Frescoes inside the church are from the holy bible. Nikortsminda locates 60 kilometers distance from Kutaisi. Road goes through mountains, so you need 90-120 minutes to get there.
