Dear Guests,

Hi, I am Giorgi Nikoladze, a local born and raised in Kutaisi. I love my city and never miss out a chance to pass my passion to the visitors. For many years, I managed non commercial website, providing free consultations and support to ravelers from all around the world ! Positive feedback motivated me to start Travel Company bussiness and my trips, excursions are rated as excellent.
I am eager to share history, legends and stories about my homeland. Like a true Georgian, I follow ancient traditions of wine making and keep vineyards near Kutaisi. For Georgians vine is a like member of a family and wineyard symbol of fertility and long live. I'd love to share our way of winemaking with people interested in.

Enjoy th Trip )

Description

Feel an extraordinary atmosphere of Soviet mining town Chiatura. We start from your hotel and head to upper Imereti. In an hour and a half, Katskhi’s silhouette appears. At the top of the cliff stands a church built between the 6th and 8th centuries. In ancient times the Katskh pillar was revered by locals as a symbol of the god of fertility. After accepting Christianity, people believed that this is a place where a person can come closer to God.

At about 12:00 we arrive in Chiatura and the extraordinary view catches our eyes: randomly built high-rise blocks, abandoned construction sites and vehicles from the Soviet period, tattered towers of cableways sticking out on the horizon. As if an imaginary worker pressed the "stop" button and everything still stood for tens of years!

In the afternoon, we will visit the Mgvimevi Monastery, built like a nestle in a karst cave on a rock (built by Prince Rati in the 13th century). The complex is richly decorated with ornaments, in some places are preserved frescoes of the early period. . From the balcony of this amazing structure, you can see the exploded mountains and rattling mines leading to the bowels of the earth.

Very interesting tour !
Fascinating Katskhi pillar and Chiatura tour guided by Giorgi, a sympathetic Georgian who speaks fluently English and drives his reliable Volkswagen. Both sites visited are unique and should not be missed if you stay in Kutaisi, fully recommended.

love that tour
We loved that tour:) All the places we visited were great. My favorite is Martvili Canyon (I definitely suggest boat) and my husband's fave is cave:) Giorgi is a wonderful guide. He is a polite, nice and helpful man. We learned so many about Georgia. It was an exclusive and comfy tour. Thanks a lot:)
Very nice tour with a great guide!
We did this tour in mid July, Giorgi was super friendly from the beginning, and very flexible - since my girlfriend was not feeling well, we wanted to start a little bit later and he was perfectly fine with it.
Tour started from visiting monasteries - Giorgi gave us so much information about the history of the city, and country that we really enjoyed learning.
Then we proceeded to Prometheus cave - here the cave tour has their own 'guide', you cannot talk inside and take flash pictures, so Giorgi waited for us outside, and once we came back we proceeded to Sataplia cave and park - the stone heart inside the cave looks really interesting!
Overall I can highly recommend it, it was a great tour!

Amazing tour of a beautiful country!
Georgi was an amazing guide through two days, taking us to all the must-see places around Kutaisi and the surrounding area. The tour was personalised and informative, it really was the best way to see the highlights of Georgia and be safe in the hands of a local and knowledgable guide. Would recommend without hesitation and consider a must for all visitors! Thank you Georgi!
