Me and 5 of my friends have started to rehabilitate a 17 ha tea plantation close to Kutaisi. Once great Georgian tea production fell almost completely apart after the collapse of the Soviet Union. After that, many tea plantations were abandoned and villages left without work- from the beginning of 2018 we are here in the hopes of putting some life back to those villages and the tea industry of Georgia.
By now we have rehabilitated 17 ha of tea plantation, built us a factory and started with the first production- I'd love to show you around and talk more about the history and future of Georgian tea :)

Description
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the great Georgian tea industry almost fell apart completely. Many tea plantations were abandoned, and villages were left without work.
I, together with seven other slightly crazy people from the Baltics, have decided to rehabilitate several plantations with the goal of reviving the Georgian tea industry and bringing some of the villages back to life.
So far, we’ve managed to rehabilitate a 17-hectare plantation near Kutaisi, get our factory up and running, and even produce some of our first teas.
I’d love to show you around and talk more about the history and future of Georgian tea!
