Why locals love it

On the shores of Lake Kuusamojärvi, there is a history trail with four history boards in the Kelanranta and Kirkkolahti areas. The themes are the history of Kuusamo from the Ice Age to the war, the life of the Kela beach, the history of the Kuusamo parish and church, and the wartime Kuusamo.
