Salpalinja, was a defense line built near the eastern border of Finland after the Winter War. The line extended from the Gulf of Estonia to Savukoski. Respecting the Finland 100 theme, the Lahtela fortress area as part of Salpalinja was restored in Kuusamo, as it was in the autumn of 1944.
