Ruka is the lively Skiing Center located the North Kuusamo area. The center has 35 slopes, in which 30 slopes are illuminated. There's 22 elevators at the center taking people up to the mountain side: including 4 chair lifts, 1 fully operational gondola. Ruka mountain's peak is 492 meters high and breath taking view.
Why you should visit it
The longest slope is 1300 meters long. At the center the elevator capacity is up to 28 150 persons / hour. The skiing season 2019-2020 will open at Ruka on October, and lasts untill May, the winter season lasts about 217 days. Enjoy. In addition to the slopes the Ruka also offers great terrain to country-cross skiing and other winter sports.
