Why locals love it
Jokijärvi Village Society has its own Summer Theater group. The director of the theater is Elsa Ruokangas. Summer Theater Pölkky produces music-based plays in which have brought a lot of theater guests and culture visitors from all over Finland during the summer.

Why you should visit it
The selection of more traditional plays is also carefully done using the versatility of the theater group. Theater group is made up of volunteers each year. The covered theater building has a 300-seat auditorium, superb foyer spaces and a covered terrace café that is open during events. Cafe is also operated by the volunteers.
