Taivalkoski Local History Museum is located in a scenic location on Siikalampi lake beach in the center of Taivalkoski. The main building of the museum is the former forest ranger's croft. There are also three small sheds, a five-walled shed and a barn building. The museum is open in summers: an atmospheric bar café is open.
