Hello everyone, I will shortly be coming to Ukraine and I land at Boryspil.

Is there a bus service to Kiev - or anywhere interesting for that matter?

It's my first trip but what I hope is the first of many for this Ukrainophile :)

Thanks in advance.

Baz

Hi Baz, as a regular visitor to Ukraine (my wife lives there) I can highly recommend the skybus which departs right outside of the arrivals hall, we use it everytime I visit which is around ten or more times a year, they depart around every fiften minutes but we have found they rarely stay on schedule, you can purchase a ticket either from inside the terminal or direct from the driver. Enjoy your trip to this brilliant city and country.

Thanks Alan, I have long wanted to travel there and hope to live there myself at some point - time will tell. I don't think I am going to be disappointed.
Hello Baz!

If you come to Ukraine in the future, I strongly recommend that you contact Your Driver Company. You can visit the website of this company https://yourdriver.com.ua/ and order a transfer from Boryspil airport (https://yourdriver.com.ua/services/airport-transfers), hourly car rental within Kyiv and its environs, a bus for tours and trips around Ukraine.
In company very popular service an English-speaking driver. This service is provided on Mercedes S-class (https://yourdriver.com.ua/type-transport/mercedes-s-class ), Business and Standard cars.

Hi, I don't have any knowledge of this company, which could be great or otherwise. However it isn't necessary to have a private service if all you want to do is go from Boryspil airport to Kyiv. Either the bus or train, or Uber, work fine.
Hi Jonathan! You are right if public transportation is acceptable for you. But sometimes people have much luggage, children etc. In this case it's convenient to order an individual vehicle.
Important is the question of communication. Do you know how much taxi drivers speak English? Very little. In Your Driver Company you can find English speaking drivers and individual service. And of course it costs more than mass taxi service..here as they say a matter of taste
tht company is very expensive .$50 plus from Borispol to Kiev
Hi Jonatyhan , you are right b, te skybus service is good and takes you into the center . The company touting for business below is very expensive , $50 + from Borispol to Kiev. Tryintg to catch the inexperienced travelers , hate that
Hello David!
Thank you for considering our proposals. Your Driver Company don't try to find inexperienced travelers for deceiving them. This company provide transportation services for reasonable prices. I can prove it.
Let's consider a transfer for 50 people from Boryspil airport to the Kyiv center. If your group buys 50 tickets for 100 UAH per seat. Total price will be 5000 UAH or 198 USD (according current exchange rate). On our website https://yourdriver.com.ua/type-transport/bus-rental you can see prices for renting a bus for 50 passengers (like Neoplan, Mercedes abd Setra) only for 150 USD. The price difference is $48. What is our deception then?

Just a little update here.
From now on we have a train that goes from Boryspil straight to Kyiv central railway station.
Its cheap (3$ I believe) & fast (30-40 minutes without any traffic jam).

Yes, you can take a bus from the airport. As soon as you get out from the airport you will see bus (you can ask someone, there is only one bus going to Kiev). That bus goes to Train Station which is in the center of Kiev and from there you can take metro, tram, bus or taxi. That bus will cost 80gryvnas ( around 3$). You can also take taxi from the airport, but it will be expensive , around 400 gryvnas (15$)

There is a regular train as of end November 2018, which is the quickest and surest way to get to and from the city centre (the central railway station), particularly in the winter and in rush hour, when the downtown can be really clogged with traffic. It costs 90 hvn which is less than $3, and it also stops on the right bank at Darnytsia. It broke down about three times in its early operation so there were lots of scare stories but it is still far more reliable than going by road. The only real drawback is it isn't frequent enough, once or twice an hour. Timetable is here: https://kbp.aero/en/kiev-boryspol-express/

Skybus + Metro: 3$ (80 hrv) from departures exit to Vokzalna train station + 20cents (4hrv) from there to center.

Uber: 10-12$ (300 hrv) from Arrivals to anywhere you want in center.

Official Taxi: 15$ (400hrv) from Arrivals to anywhere in center.

Avoid "taxi fishermen" at arrivals exit.

If you need Transfer you can order it here goldengate.in.ua/en/. It will be more expencive but more comfortable for you.
If you need cheapest variant you need to order Uber - but sometimes its hard to find driver if he dont meet you with a sign :)
