You have an excellent opportunity to learn the techniques of world-famous Ukrainian art of petrykivka painting. It is characterized by easily recognizable floral motives and bright colors.
The origin of petrykivka dates back to the 19th century, when it was used in the decoration of the houses. Nowadays, this traditional art is widely used in all kind of design – from the interiors and clothes to the household utensils and paintings.
An experienced artist will explain you the main symbols, typical for petrykivka, and show you the basic techniques of brushstrokes. You will see some examples of the paintings and create your own design, using your imagination and creativity.
