After meeting your guide at your hotel, you’ll set off on a fascinating tour of the Pirogovo Museum.
When you arrive, you’ll walk through the cosy streets and admire the charm of an authentic Ukrainian village. You’ll see houses of both the rich and the poor, and notice the differences in embellishments and decorations. You’ll also learn how a thatched roof is made.
One of the main attractions of the museum is an 18th-century wooden church featuring a gorgeous iconostasis. You’ll also visit an old parish school and learn how children studied in the past.
There are many local artists and craftsmen selling astonishing handmade souvenirs at the museum. You can buy one of the lovely embroidered shirts, or pottery to remind you of your trip. In your spare time, you may taste local dishes in one of the numerous cafés.
