Why locals love it

Lafayette is known for it's festivals, and this is a great one! Every Friday night in the Spring and Fall the Lafayette Downtown Developmental Authority hosts a free all ages concert. Locals dance and mingle all night long. Families are encouraged.

Why you should visit it

Featuring arts and crafts and food and local live music, with several stores, restaurants, and hotels nearby, this is a great time and place to be. Easily accessible by walking and bicycling, and close to the Atakapa-Ishak Bicycle Trail.
