Pack & Paddle was founded in 1974 by locally loved Joan and Dick Williams. What started as a backyard operation selling Grumman aluminum canoes was followed by a first real store in a 400 square foot Acadian house on the banks of the Vermillion river.

Pack & Paddle houses excellent brands of outdoor equipment for all types of self propelled outdoor activities. Rock climbing, backpacking, canoeing, kayaking, family camping, snow skiing and much more. They also host movies and guest speakers. Many bicycling routes start from here.
