Rat Pack and Golf History, All in One

Las Vegas National Golf Club

Why locals love it

If you're a golfer, why not tee off at the same golf club frequented by Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Peter Lawford. It is home to the Rat Pack Bar and Grill which is an excellent place for a meal. Prices are very reasonable, you have a great view of the course and the chef prepares excellent fresh salads, sandwiches and burgers.

Why you should visit it

This golf spot was established in 1961 and holds a great place in mid century modern history. Walk the grounds, and the trail that goes around the perimeter of the golf club, you can see some mid mod architecture from the homes whose backyards are off the green. You can see the home Robert De Niro "lived" in as Sam Rothstein in the movie Casino.

Special tip

This place was originally known as the Stardust Country Club, owned by the Stardust Hotel and Casino. Be respectful of golfers if you go on the green.
