Sunset Park sits on 325 acres of land originally inhabited by the Paiutes over 1000 years ago. The park was renovated between 2010 and 2013 and has incredible landscaping breaking out areas for sports from volleyball and baseball, trails, family friendly parks, picnic areas and historic dunes. It's a great place to relax or host a family gathering.
Sunset Park is a unique spot to wander and learn about some of Las Vegas' history. You can wander up one of the last original dunes of Paradise Valley and read about the original inhabitants, the Paiutes, and the settlers that came along in the early 1900s. The park hosts events like The Renaissance Fair and Sunset Park'd Food Festival.
Take the History Walk on a mile trail going around the remaining historic dunes. Keep an eye out for wildlife including jack rabbits and road runners.
