Ancient Kourion (Curium) is an extraordinary theater built in the 2nd century BC. Nowadays is being used as a great place for open-air musical but also theatrical performances. Those are held mainly during the summer months. As such, it is the most popular spot for magnificent cultural events.

Why you should visit it

Kourion is located 16,3 km West of Limassol/ Lemessos. This is a Greco-Roman theatre built in the 2nd c.BC. All the excavations can be viewed at the site. The theater magically overlooks the sea. East of the theatre is the ‘House of Eustolios’ (former private villa) but also the remains of Roman Agora.

Special tip

Sit at the top of a theater and listen to the people at the stage. An extraordinary good acoustic.
