Founded in 1946, “Mexicana” is an historical Pastry of Lisbon, was initially a confectionary and dairy; located in London Square, being a meeting place for various artists connected to Surrealism and Neorealism.

In 1961/62 was renovated by the architect Jorge Ferreira Chaves, you can find ceramic panel with polychrome tiles by Querubim Lapa, a mural painting by João Câmara Leme and also works of art by Mário Costa. And besides the works of arts, “Mexicana” is a coffee, snack bar and restaurant with banquet hall.
At tea time, you can have some scones and pancakes with jam while you appreciate a ceramic panel by Querubim Lapa, Portuguese artist.
