Hi, its my boyfriends 30th birthday when we are in Lisbon and I would like to book a nice meal for the occasion. Something not to formal or posh but good food and atmosphere and a bit different. Any suggestions? Thanks :-)

A great place to celebrate a birthday in my opinion is at Rio Maravilha at LXFactory. Great views great sunsets ... Worth checking it out!!

Hello Dee!
I would suggest
At Bairro Alto:
Zapata tipical Portuguese restaurant with many different dishes. Cheap and very good food quality and very near from the nightlife Bairro Alto and Cais do Sodré. best!

I went to this one Dona Beija, https://www.thefork.pt/restaurante/dona-beija/399857, the other day and I really liked it, it's Brazilian and it has live music. On Saturday's they serve a Feijoada, the typical Brazilian bean and meat casserole and it's all you can eat.

Have a look here https://www.facebook.com/restaurantealfandega/
Traditional portuguese cuisine carefully updated. Small and special wine selection matching the menu. Clean decor to enrich the secular floor and walls stones. Good service. Good price. Perfect to pamper the taste and ourselves. Enjoy.

Hi Dee,

I would go to Sacramento. One of my favorites in town. Nearest tube station Baixa-Chiado. http://www.sacramentodochiado.com/pt/

You also have Chapito with a stunning view (specially at night with all the lights). 2 mins from S.Jorge Castle.

Hope you have fun!

Hi Dee
You can try Bairro do Avillez in Rua da Trindade near Bairro Alto. It's a new place from a very known portuguese chef but with many options for different prices.
Hope you enjoy it

hi Dee. Its very common to receive birthday parties ( also bachelorette, stag parties) at Cooking Lisbon, usually we organize with a minimum of 10 people ( just dinner or lunch, with or without cooking class) . This can be an option, you can email us to info@cookinglisbon.com , with the day/month, hours.

Hi Dee.
You can easily find a Portuguese restaurant, since its not a big group.
One restaurant we love : Restaurante Sacramento ( price range from 15€ to 30 € , depending of your options ). Located on the centre of city, at Rua do Sacramento .
Cheers & you know.. we cannot wish in advance, bad luck people says. :-)
that's great, thanks :-)
