Restaurante Santo André - Eating in Lisbon - LikeALocal Guide

Why locals love it?

Restaurante Santo André is a great place to eat when the weather is fine. Here you can find a great esplanade, good traditional Portuguese dishes, like grilled fish or grilled meat. If you want, when lunch or dinner time is finished, you can seat in the esplanade just to have a beer or a glass of wine.

Why you should visit it

The most interesting thing about this restaurant is its very typical esplanade, remembering a Portuguese backyard. The menu has several options. Try one of the daily dishes (pratos do dia): the food comes faster to your table and the prices are lower. Expect to spend something between 10€ and 15€, for a full meal (main dish, drink, desert).

Special tip

Seat in a table near a window and you will probably see tram number 12 passing by several times.

Tourist rip-off. Visited the place yesterday. They have special tourist menus with much higher prices. They tried to charge us even more on top using hand written bills. Really bad Lisbon experience - never again! Try to avoid.
