The meeting point is in Cais do Sodré at 9:30 a.m or 2:30 pm where we are catching the ferry to the other side of the river. This relaxing trip takes only a few minutes to get to Cacilhas, a small neighbourhood with charming buildings and seafood restaurants.
First we walk along the riverside where we find some ruined warehouses. They were once small shipyards to be used for boat repairment and supply. Through those old and ruined buildings we find on the way some street art. We stop to enjoy the beautiful garden of Ginjal. A contrast of landscape, having always the beautiful scenery of Lisbon. We will visit the Naval museum where our guide will tell you further stories related to the ship buiding and this industry that brought many people to live in Almada.
After the visit we will go up the elevator of Boca do Vento. At its top you can still enjoy the stunning views. We will walk a bit around the historical center of Almada and we will visit the ''Casa da Cerca'', a modern art museum, which was once a 18th century palace. After the visit we go back down to Cacilhas and stop to see the frigate D. Fernando e Glória and the impressive submarine - Barracuda.
