Description

We’ll meet at sea level, the lowest point of Lis boa, at Praça do Comércio, the european trading centrr for centuries that made Lisboa known as The Queen of the Sea.

Jumping straight into the history of this enchanting city, we’ll discover the slave market, the place where the Romans made their garum (fish sauce), ancient hot water fountains and the Moorish Alfama, with its amazing little steps and alleyways.

Passing along the old Roman city wall, we’ll reach the first astonishing observation point, Santa Luzia. Just hold your breath and admire the amazing view.

Next we’ll visit a monumental 18th-century church in a picturesque medieval area and the oldest traffic sign in the world, dating back to the 1600s.

We’ll walk along the narrow, zigzagging 28 tram line, visit the oldest market in Lisbon, a church that took 300 years to build, factory worker villages from the 1900s and the highest observation point, which overlooks the entire city.

From there we’ll make our way back down through Moorish Mouraria, where Fado was born, to Martim Moniz square, where people from different cultures live together in peace.

You’ll love it!
