For many years these markets fell on hard times, but recently Brixton Village has been restored to its former glory, and now offers an almost countless array of boutique restaurants, cafe's and specialty retail. These arcades are buzzing with activity all week, especially in the evenings, where hungry patrons browse endless international delights.

Why you should visit it
You'll be spoiled for choice here, there's everything, it's quality, and it's reasonably priced. The only downside is having to decide. Grab a drink while you explore the winding lofty arcades and find something that takes your fancy. Sit in the market rows and enjoy the live music while you eat, then walk it off to Federation for a coffee after.
