Why locals love it

I love this place. It has an interesting history and an atmospheric place to have some wine and some pub food. It's in the cellars of Kipling House, a 17th century building in Viliers St, on the side of Charing Cross Station. The building has been the home of Samuel Pepys and Rudyard Kipling.

Why you should visit it

It's part of the history of the development of London and for a good wine list.

Special tip

The cellar part is very Victorian and has a low ceiling and very atmospheric

good wines for a price that is not abusive, and it is very pleasant to be outside even if it is crowded. The interior looks like a cave in France, super interesting
