Grant Museum of Zoology1
Why locals love it
The Grant Museum of Zoology is a true London gem. As one of the oldest natural history museums in the country it is full of unique and interesting animal specimens from all over the world. You can see a jar of moles, a dodo skeleton, and even the skeleton of a quagga (an extinct South African zebra). The Grant's quagga is 1 of only 7 in the world!
Why you should visit it
The museum has a Victorian flair that you don't find in a lot of current museums. You are guaranteed to see specimens that you can't find anywhere else.
Check out their calendar before you visit - they often have themed evening events like life drawing and murder mysteries.
