London has a long brewing history of ale, an art seemingly forgotten for some time in favor of mainstream European lagers, with the traditional ales set aside for the quieter 'old man' pubs.

In recent times however the craft beer renaissance has slowly made its way into the London scene, and residents are developing a taste for the good stuff, turning their backs on the big names.

Heavily influenced by the beer scene in the states, local UK heroes have emerged and are making serious waves, with the likes of The Kernal, Magic Rock, Beavertown, Redemption, Camden Town, Brew Dog and Red Squirrel appearing in more and more establishments across the city.
