Hello Cecilia,
What are your interests?
There is so much to do in London that in order to give you a helpful answer, I would need to know what you are keen on in general...I have lived in London for 20 years, before that Rome, before that New York, and San Francisco...

It depends on your interest. One day would go for shopping I guess. What really a London shopping experience is definitelly Oxford street. Another option is all in one at Westfield, Stratford. This is the biggest shopping centre in London. It’s good to know that all shops open around 11:00 and close around 17:00 on Sundays. Do you go for brands or cheap shops? That is another auestion. Or you woukd like someting really special, etc.

Columbia Road flower market is a must on Sunday morning and Maltby Street Market is great for food and drinks - much smaller than Borough Market but a really good atmosphere.
On Saturday Portobello Road market is great and also call into Acklam Village on a Saturday or Sunday - lots of food and drink and live music playing.
If you like museums, check out the Wallace Collection just off Oxford Street or the Wellcome Collection near Euston station.
Download the citymapper app and use it to find your way around on the tubes, trains and buses - if you have a contactless payment card then use that to pay for journeys. If not, get yourself an Oyster card.

Well I have to agree with the comments made already. London is a big city and it really depends on what you like.

Shopping depends largely on where you are from. If you have the same stores then shop at home unless home is really expensive. London is not cheap. If you want to find some interesting stuff then Camden Market is pretty cool as is Brick Lane and Notting Hill.

Interestingly food is great in all locations from restaurants to street food. Though food at Borough Market is great an the South Bank has much to offer. Crazy SoHo - definitely a buzzing place to go for drinks and you will end up talking to different kinds of people there. If you like the theatre then book tickets to your shows before you come... Everything is pretty close and suggest you get yourself an Oyster Card for the London Underground and Bus Services.
I love markets and they're quintessential london so I'd recommend Broadway market on Saturday, and brick lane on Sunday. Both are Lively, colourful, and great food.

Covent garden has the London Gelato festival this weekend.
Shopping depends on what you want. Hot Oxford Street early to try & beat the crowds.
London walks are a great way to spend a couple of hours.
I've found places I never knew existed on a walk.
I can recommend old Marylebone on Saturday afternoon or the Jack the ripper one is good.
Whatever you decide to do you will have a great time.
Have fun

Hello! I’ve lived in london for only 3 months but if you’re there for only a weekend I recommend going shopping around Covenant Garden, it’s my favorite area. You can also shop in soho, but it’s very packed and crazy. I also love going to Notting Hill, it’s very quaint and charming. There is an outdoor market that you can also shop for souvenirs or vintage things. Broadway Market is also super fun. Try to go to a museum. Most are free in London. I like the Tate Modern. For the evenings go to any local pub to experience the pub culture in London!
