Hello. I will be in London from January 2nd till January 6th and I would like to ask whether or not the christmas lights throughout London are still switched on during that time. Thank you in advance.

Hi! Yes. Everything should still be on. 6th January is 12th night so that would be the last “official” day that they will be lit. So you should be fine to see all of them.

Not sure about all of them but dates below are definitely published on line as being the cut-off dates.

Oxford Street till Jan 6
Regent Street till Jan 5
Covent Garden till Jan 2
Kew gardens till Jan 5

Thank you so much. You just made my planning so much easier.
Yes, they will be switched on till January 6th and in my opinion, it will be the best time to visit the city. The nights will be so beautiful to watch during these times with all the decorative lights in the street. There are even tour packages that are being held during this time which attracts a lot of tourists.
