On my map of London I see many paths through the green area labeled as Kew Gardens. There is also a path along the Thames on the side of Kew Gardens. Can anyone use these paths? or must one pay an entrance fee?

You must pay to go in Kew Gardens, but I'd recommend it, it's really interesting.

Hi Arthur. You can walk parallel to Kew on the Thames path, it walks alongside the gardens on one side and the river on the other side so it is pretty. If you want to go into Kew Gardens however, you do need to pay an entrance fee, it’s worth it though as the gardens are huge, stunning and all year there is stuff to see. There are a number of palm houses, a temperate house too. It’s really worth the money to go there.

I think you really have to pay to get full enjoyment however I found this which offers a walking guide along the Thames, and looking into Kew, if you don’t want to pay the (pretty high) Kew price:

The one along the river is free, it's part of the Thames Path, but you have to pay to actually go into the Gardens (they are walled off)
