The Museum, an art gallery (national portrait is my favourite), mooch around the shops. Go to the cinema.

Take an umbrella and do what you were doing otherwise.

well there is plenty to do if you are caught over a rainy weekend, including sunday - if you like Chinese food you could head up to China Town and experience Dim-Sum - traditional sunday family lunch - after lunch head to one of the many museums or take a stroll in the cultural Camden Market. Hope this helps

British Museum a good choice as it's close to lots of restaurants and Soho afterwards, which is quite sheltered, due to it's narrow streets and where the warm glow of lights can look very pretty in the rain!

Your best bet would be go to a museum, most of them are free as well.... Spitalfields market is open on Sunday too, should be quite busy in that area (East end), for some shopping you could go to Westfield, there is a very good Japanese food court there too...
