In my opinion, there are no bad neighborhoods in Chelsea. Chelsea is a very good and quality region. But If you want to be close to the big malls and the underground station you've better choose the neighborhoods around onslow square. Therefore you have to know that Chelsea is a bit expensive.

Hi there!
It all depends on the budget. I can recommend going to Ivy chelsea for a special brunch/dinner as prices are quite high. L`ETO cafe for both cakes and nice food buffet in a really attractive environment. Also places like GBK can do a good job if needed to have have smth quick but very tasty. This area is ful of bars, little coffee shops and nice places to eat, just decide on the food and the budget and you wont go wrong!

Agree with Dilara on the Cross Keys - Or the Phene, tucked away and nice garden for drinks (if its nice out - covered with heat lamps so still a good spot in winter if its not raining). Worth checking out the Saatchi Gallery near Sloane Square, have a bite at Polpo before or after.
For restaurants you should try the cross keys pub for sunday roast or any day for the regular menu, chicama for peruvian, Buonasera Restaurant At The Jam for italian.
