Visiting London in May and looking for a something cheap but with good location. Staying for 4 nights so it should be something where OK to spend them :)

Found options like:
Hyde Park Court Hotel
Marble Arch Inn

But the reviews are horrible :S

Your suggestions are really welcome!

It really depends on your budget to be honest. You can stay 15mins on the underground away from central London and could cost considerably less. I wouldn't choose anything under 8 stars on booking.com

I have very good experiences with the holland park safestay hostel. usually one of the cheapest you can find but a very lovely and cosy hostel, plenty of space in the shared dorms (but private rooms also available) and a very unique and gorgeous location. Absolutely more towards the hotel-feeling instead of the hostel-feeling.

I'd recommend Generator Hostel London. Great place with a lot of awesome people from all over the world. Beside Air bnb is cool in location such us Clapham Common, Fulham, Clapham Junction, Clapham South, London Bridge. :)

Ibis around dockland has a good rail connections, airbnb iand other house rentals are popular. Booking .com worth a try. We stay around Kensington quite often, good dealsto be found on trivago. Really depends on the facilities you wish for. Good hunting!

Katrin, I would highly suggest airbnb. A lot of apartments available with distinct character around London. Check it out. Try chain hotels too like Marriott or SPG. Budget hotels like travelodge and premier inn.
