Check out the oxford tube bus. It runs every 15 minutes, even all night and is extremely cheap. Check out their website

But if you can book in advance then there are some cheap train fares (www.gwr.com)

The coach from near Victoria Coach Station. It's called the Oxford Tube. Good luck and travel well. Archie

Bus would be the cheapest (with national express). But depending on traffic it could take a while. You can also get a train, the best way is to use the train line or google maps (it tells you which train company it's through) & make sure you book the train / bus ticket before as it's cheaper. Also if you're going for a day the trains do good return rates.
