If you want to get away from the tourists check out Bermondsey Street - a short walk from London Bridge Station - lots of cafe, bars and local restaurants and street food at Maltby Street (Rope Walks) on Saturday and Sunday.....bring a hat!

It all depends on where you'll be but there will be bars and pubs everywhere to pop in to. Hackney and Islington (cliché I know) have loads. Try and avoid the ones that make you pay for entry. They're a rip off and no better and probably worse than anywhere offering free entry. Find a spot in a pub, get the drinks in, go with the flow, befriend some local folk and find a post midnight party! There won't be a shortage.
