Most of us associate cinemas with big crowds and sticky floors, but the Ritzy offers something a little classier. Open since 1911, the Ritzy is one of England's earliest purpose built cinemas, and the interior architecture evokes a nostalgic old school vibe from the early days of film. The lineup includes both big budget and art house features.

It's not often you can enjoy you movie with a glass of wine and some gourmet nibbles, but at the Ritzy it's encouraged, and they offer you a full bar and cafe with an extensive menu that serves everything from breakfasts to dinner. You'll also find some of the comfiest seats in cinema history, and a ceiling that looks almost as good as the screen.
There's also a live music venue upstairs. Unlike the name suggests, it's not expensive.
